Put Your Name on the Iron
This valley knows heavy equipment — it watched one of the biggest earthmoving projects in the country build Diamond Valley Lake, and today the graders and excavators are busy again from Winchester’s tracts to Menifee’s new streets. Here’s what most of that iron has in common: it’s anonymous. Same OEM yellow, same orange, no name — weeks parked on a site in front of every neighbor, developer, and passing contractor, telling nobody who’s doing the work.
At Rapid Wraps and Tint, equipment graphics fix that. Branding, fleet numbers, and high-visibility striping that turn machines into the most credible advertising a contractor owns — the kind that’s actually on the job.
Why Brand Your Equipment?
A machine on a job site is a billboard with better placement than any billboard: eye level, weeks at a time, in front of the exact audience that hires contractors — homeowners watching the work next door, GCs driving their projects, developers touring the next phase. Showing up with branded iron also does something at bid time that a business card can’t: it reads as an established outfit before you’ve said a word.
There’s a practical layer, too. Distinctive, marked equipment is harder to fence and easier to recover if it walks off a site, unit numbers keep dispatch and maintenance straight as the fleet grows, and because vinyl comes off clean, the paint underneath stays preserved — which presents better when a machine eventually goes to auction.
Equipment Graphics Options
From one skid steer to a full yard, here’s how the work usually breaks down.
Brand Packages
Company name, logo, and phone placed where they’re seen and where they survive — cab panels, hoods and engine covers, counterweights, and upper boom sides. Sized to be read across a job site, designed to look like it came that way.
Fleet Numbers & Unit ID
Consistent unit numbering across every machine and attachment — for dispatch, for maintenance logs, for theft recovery, and for looking like an operation that has its act together.
High-Visibility & Reflective Striping
Conspicuity striping and reflective panels for machines, attenuators, and anything that works near traffic or runs at dawn. Safety and professionalism in the same roll of film.
Straight Talk on Iron and Film
Brand zones, not wear zones. No film survives dirt work, and we won’t pretend otherwise. Buckets, blades, lower booms, and anything ground-engaging stay bare — graphics go on cabs, hoods, counterweights, and body panels, where they’re seen and where they last.
Surface condition decides. Equipment paint lives hard. Sound paint gets degreased and decontaminated and takes film well; flaking, heavily pitted, or rusted surfaces don’t bond and need attention first. We’ll tell you which is which at the quote.
Heat gets respected. Film stays clear of exhaust zones and extreme-heat areas — placement is part of the design, not an afterthought.
Built to be serviced. Site damage happens. A gouged panel graphic gets replaced individually for a fraction of what touch-up paint and re-lettering used to cost — the machine doesn’t come off the job for it.
Removal pays later. When a unit sells or goes to auction, the branding peels off clean and the preserved paint underneath does the presenting.
HEAVY EQUIPMENT WRaps - Frequently asked questions
Can you wrap an entire excavator?
You can, but you shouldn't — and we'll say so. The smart build is brand zones: cab, hood, counterweight, upper boom. Full coverage on ground-engaging machines just pays for film the site destroys.
Will graphics actually survive job-site conditions?
In the zones we place them, yes — laminated, heavy-duty films positioned away from wear and heat hold up for years of real work. Placement strategy is most of the durability.
My machines have old, faded paint. Can you still brand them?
Usually. Sound-but-faded paint cleans up and takes film fine. Flaking or heavily corroded surfaces won't hold vinyl, and we'll flag what needs attention instead of wrapping over a failure.
Can you handle numbering and striping across the whole fleet?
Yes — one consistent system for unit numbers, brand placement, and reflective striping across every machine, truck, and towable, applied the same way on unit one and unit forty.
What happens when we sell a machine?
The branding comes off clean, the preserved paint underneath presents better than the weathered machines next to it, and the buyer doesn't inherit your phone number.
