Rapid Wraps | Legal Notice & Terms of Service
Welcome to Rapid Wraps. By booking an appointment, paying a deposit, or leaving a vehicle for service, you (the “Customer”) agree to the following terms and conditions regarding vehicle window tinting and vinyl wrap installations.
1. Window Tinting & Legal Compliance
Rapid Wraps provides window film installation services according to the customer’s specific requests.
- Customer Responsibility: It is the sole responsibility of the vehicle owner/operator to be aware of and comply with all local, state, and federal laws regarding Visible Light Transmission (VLT) levels and window tint placement.
- Liability Waiver: Rapid Wraps shall not be held liable for any legal consequences, including but not limited to traffic citations, fines, vehicle impoundment, or inspection failures resulting from the installation of window film that exceeds legal limits.
- Off-Road/Show Use: Any film installed darker than the legal limit is intended strictly for “Off-Road” or “Show Car” purposes only.
2. Installation & Curing Period
- Curing Time: After installation, window film requires a curing period (typically 3–5 days depending on weather). Do not roll down windows during this time. Rapid Wraps is not responsible for damage to the film caused by premature window operation.
- Imperfections: While we strive for perfection, window tinting is performed in a shop environment, not a clean room. Small dust specks or minor bubbles may be present. Most “moisture bubbles” will disappear during the curing process.
- Dot Matrix: Many vehicles have a black ceramic “dot matrix” pattern on the edges of the glass. Film may not adhere perfectly to these raised dots. This is a characteristic of the vehicle’s glass design, not a defect in installation.
3. Vinyl Wrap & Paint Condition
- Paint Integrity: Vinyl wraps are designed for OEM (factory) paint in good condition. Rapid Wraps is not responsible for any paint or clear coat damage that occurs during the installation or removal of vinyl, particularly on repainted, damaged, or aging surfaces.
- Pre-Existing Damage: We are not responsible for textures visible through the wrap (such as “ghosting”) caused by pre-existing rock chips, scratches, or oxidation.
4. Technology & Sensors
Modern vehicles are equipped with sensitive electronics.
- Signal Interference: Certain metallic or thick films may interfere with GPS, radio, or cellular signals.
- ADAS/Sensors: The customer acknowledges that covering certain areas of the vehicle with wrap or tint may affect Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) or parking sensors. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure all safety features are functioning correctly after application.
5. Maintenance & Warranty
- Care Instructions: To maintain your wrap or tint, we recommend hand-washing only. The use of high-pressure washers, automated car washes, or harsh chemicals (especially ammonia-based cleaners on tint) will void any labor or material warranties.
- Warranty Limits: Our labor warranty covers bubbling, peeling, or delamination caused by installation errors. It does not cover physical damage, neglect, or normal wear and tear.
